The Language of Yes is a boutique winery from California, founded by legendary winemaker Randall Grahm, founder of Bonny Doon Vineyard. The winery was created as a tribute to traditional winemaking practices from southern France, particularly the Languedoc and Roussillon regions, from which the name itself originates: "Language of Yes" is a poetic name for the Old French dialect langue d'oc, the predecessor of Provençal.
Grahm focuses on minimal intervention, careful work, and an emphasis on terroir. He explores the central California coast through small experiments, light touches, and a deep love for the land. He focuses primarily on growing traditional French varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Tibouren, and Cinsault for the production of rosé wines. The wine from The Language of Yes is fresh, elegant, and structured, with the distinctive signature of this truly unique American winemaker.
