When Jess Jackson met Pierre Seillan on a visit to France in the 1990s, he was already established in setting up successful wineries.
Throughout his career, he had always wanted to create wines that could match the best from around the world and believed that the terroir of Sonoma County had that potential.
The Seillan family has roots in Bordeaux, and when Pierre accepted Jesse's invitation to Sonoma and saw the potential in this terroir, he didn't hesitate for a moment and together they made Jackson's dream a reality. Thus, in 1997, Vérité Winery was founded and today produces a unique selection of wines that boldly rival the best in the world.
